Opening Prayer for Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit (C):

O God, who sanctify your universal Church

in every people and nation,

pour out, we pray, the gifts of your Spirit

across the face of the earth,

so that your divine grace, which was at work

when the Gospel was first proclaimed,

may now spread through the hearts of those who believe in you.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.
