Thank you for these words Fr Thaddaeus. I think about what you said regarding Padre Pio requiring his flock to go to confession every 8 days and other Saints that went daily. I struggle with going every 3 to 4 weeks. Its always for the same temptations and struggles. I also understand that when not going is usually Satan feeding lies telling you why you shouldn’t and don’t need to go that often, that you will always have these temptations and struggles and for what purpose. Yes, strides are made in baby steps and I understand the graces that are given and I truly know his lies.
It’s enough to simply try – and for some, it may only be every 3 or 4 weeks that they can confess; simply making that step can help us to rid our lives of Satan.
