Today is the feast of St. Lawrence, a deacon and martyr of Rome. He willingly laid down his life to suffer with the Holy Father who was being martyred, and even was able to joke and be joyful in his suffering. As St. John of the Cross said, one “Blessed be God,” in the midst of suffering is worth more than all of your thanksgiving in the midst of consolations.
Very much appreciated!
I wonder how rich you receive the Holy Spirit that you deliver so good a homily each day!
May God bless you continually,Fr. Thaddaeus!
