Monday of the Sixth Week of Easter – Memorial of St. Rita of Cascia

S.Rita_da_Cascia

A blessed feast of St. Rita to you all. She is the patron saint of impossible causes. The opening prayer of Mass today reads, “Bestow on us, we pray, O Lord, the wisdom and strength of the Cross, with which you were pleased to endow Saint Rita, so that, suffering in every tribulation with Christ, we may participate ever more deeply in his Paschal Mystery…” What is the wisdom and strength of the cross? Listen to today’s homily to learn more.

  1. This morning I detected a ‘wide awake’ sound to your voice….and totally was able to absorb the message of the Cross…as never presented before…You are just too much, Fr. Thad

  2. Your message was right on time with current event causing much sadness. I go to the Lord, the Holy Spirit and the Blessed Mother to guide, or intercede. I know from experience that although it may take a moment but I receive an answer and the cross becomes lighter as it is given to Him.
